(LODGE HILL LANE, ROCHESTER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new connection to be carried out -

Lodge Hill Lane, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic at a point outside The Farmhouse, Chattenden. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route available. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 21 May 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 21 May 2026 and are programmed for completion within 6 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(ESHCOL ROAD, HOO ST WERBURGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable overhead line reconductoring works to be carried out -

Eshcol Road, Hoo St Werburgh - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Jacobs Lane and the junction with Loverose Way turning. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Stoke Road.

This Order will come into force on Sunday, 17 May 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Sunday, 17 May 2026 and are programmed for completion within 4 days. There will be a further closure from Friday, 22 May until Thursday, 28 May (road closed between 7.30am and 5.30pm each day). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CUXTON LEVEL CROSSING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable lifting and replacement of level crossing for RSM inspection together with changing rails at the crossing -

Cuxton Level Crossing - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between 20 metres either side of Cuxton Level Crossing, Station Road Cuxton. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative access available. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Sunday, 17 May 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after 1.30am Sunday, 17 May 2026 and are programmed for completion by 3am Monday, 18 May. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CAPSTONE ROAD, CHATHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a decayed telegraph pole to be removed and replaced -

Capstone Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from across the entrance to 483 Capstone Road for 200 metres in a southerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Capstone Road, Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road, Capstone Road and return.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(LOWER RAINHAM ROAD, GILLINGHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new electrical connection to be carried out -

Lower Rainham Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 792 Lower Rainham Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Station Road, High Street, Otterham Quay Lane and return.

This Order will come into force on Saturday, 13 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Saturday, 13 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(PERRY HILL, CLIFFE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable tree cutting works to be carried out -

Perry Hill, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Merryboys Road to the junction with Cliffe Byway RS84A. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Cooling Common, Cooling Street and Perry Hill in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 11 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 11 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable mains fitting repair works to be carried out -

Moor Park Close, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic at its junction with High Street Rainham. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via High Street Rainham, A2 and Meresborough Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new water connection to be carried out -

Saunders Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 37 Saunders Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via James Street, Jeffery Street, Arden Street and Mill Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 15 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 3 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY RC32, GILLINGHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily close the footpath identified as PROW RC32 between Capstone Road and North Dane Road for safety reasons to enable works (associated with residential housing development) including cut and fill and lowering of existing 33kva extra high voltage electricity to below ground -

PROW RC32 - closed between Capstone Road and North Dane Way.

An alternative route will be provided and marked around the perimeter of the development. This Order will come into force on Monday, 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 1 June 2026 and are programmed for completion by 1 December 2026. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

REASON FOR INQUIRY - APPEAL BY GLADMAN DEVELOPMENTS LTD

Relating to the outline application (all matters reserved except for access) to Medway Council for the erection of up to 240 residential dwellings, including 25% affordable housing, together with a new vehicular access point from Ratcliffe Highway, open space, landscaping and associated works at Land off Ratcliffe Highway, Hoo St Werburgh, Kent, ME3 8PX.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector’s discretion, express their views.
