Newcastle Centre Redevelopment Public Consultation Event
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is hosting the second
stage of a public consultation in relation to the redevelopment
of the Newcastle Centre. This consultation event is open to all
residents, local businesses, community organisations, sports
clubs and stakeholders.
Date: Wednesday 20 May 2026
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Location: Newcastle Leisure Centre, Central Promenade,
Newcastle.
Following the ‘Framing the Question’ event, the Council’s Design
Team has developed a series of Feasibility Designs shaped by the
feedback received.
Join us for an evening drop‐in session to view the emerging
proposals and take part in an informal Q&A session with the
Design Team as they continue to refine the project.
