Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath AT154 from Ashford Road to the junction with Public Footpath AT155, from Monday 01 June 2026.

The public footpath will be closed for a maximum of six months, but is expected to reopen sooner.

The path is to be closed because works are planned to repair the surface of the footpath.

There are no alternative routes available.

On 27 April 2026 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order without modifications.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a public footpath CB554, with a width of 1.5 metres, which commences on Westbere Lane at NGR TR 1876 6091 (Point A), and travels in a south southeasterly direction for 214 metres to its connection with public footpath CB91 at NGR TR 1876 6072 (Point B).

All distances are approximate, all directions are general.

This Order became operative as from 27 April 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53(3)(c)(ii) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, they may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 08 May 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a public footpath numbered CB555, with a width of 1.5 metres, which commences on Staines Hill at NGR TR 1852 6093 (Point A) and travels in a south southeasterly, then east northeasterly direction for 109 metres to NGR TR 1859 6087 (Point B), then continues in a south southeasterly direction for 206 metres to its connection with public footpath CB91 at NGR TR 1866 6069 (Point C). ALSO to add a public footpath numbered CB556, with a width of 1.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point B and travels in an east northeasterly, then southeasterly direction for 488 metres to its connection with public footpath CB91 at NGR TR 1904 6089 (Point F). ALSO to add a public footpath numbered CB557, with a width 1.5 metres, which commences at NGR TR 1896 6095 (Point D) and travels in a northeasterly, then south southeasterly direction for 137 metres to NGR TR 1904 6091 (Point E) where the route rejoins public footpath CB556.

The above Order was made on 22 April 2026 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a Public Footpath numbered CW93, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences on Eden Road at NGR TR 0938 6502 (point A) and runs north north-east for 64 metres to its connection with Hazlemere Road at NGR TR 0941 6507 (point B), as shown between points A-B on the Order plan.

On 27th April 2026, the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order, as confirmed is to divert the entire width of that length of Public Bridleway HE145, which commences from a point on the existing line of the way at NGR TR 1255 4402 and then running generally south-south-easterly through south-south-westerly for approximately 84 metres to its connection with the public highway known as Lymbridge Green at NGR TR 1255 4395, and will provide a new length of bridleway numbered HE145, with a width of 4 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point at NGR TR 1255 4402 and running generally east through south-easterly through south-south-westerly for approximately 120 metres to a new connection with the public highway known as Lymbridge Green at NGR TR 1256 4394. All directions general, all distances approximate.

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF KENT

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC HE379 AND RESTRICTED BYWAY HE380 AT PADDLESWORTH) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on 29th April 2026 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding:

• A Byway Open to All Traffic, numbered HE379 and with a width of 6 metres, which commences at the northern end of Redsole Lane at Redsole Farm (at NGR TR 2014 4007) and runs in a north-easterly direction for 65 metres to NGR TR 2018 4012; and

• A Restricted Byway, numbered HE380 and with a width of 6 metres, which commences at the previously described point at NGR TR 2018 4012 and runs in a north-easterly direction for 96 metres to NGR 2023 4020, before turning in a north-westerly direction and running for a distance of 54 metres to NGR TR 2020 4024. Thereafter, the route turns again in a north-easterly direction and runs for 444 metres to a point at the southern tip of Cobhams Rough Wood (at NGR 2049 4058), before continuing in an east-north-easterly through north-easterly direction for 340 metres to a junction with Pay Street at NGR 2069 4083. All directions general, all distances approximate.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath SR432 between Green Lane/Wyndham Avenue and the railway arch from the 01 June 2026

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 25 September 2026

The path is to be closed because works are planned near it. Periodic closure to enable to the movement of heavy vehicles to be advised through signage on the ground. As far as is possible public access will be provided when it is safe to do so. The footpath will remain open on weekends and evenings.

No alternative route available when path is closed.
