NOTICE UNDER THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

LAPORTE GROUP PENSION TRUST

Pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, notice is hereby given that the Trustee of the Laporte Group Pension Trust (the “Scheme”) intends to wind up the Scheme. As is usual practice, the Trustee is placing an advertisement to allow any members or beneficiaries of the Scheme who are not known to the Trustee to come forward before the winding-up is complete.

Any person who believes that they have an interest or entitlement to benefits under the Scheme, or a claim against the Scheme, and has not yet received correspondence from the Trustee in relation to the winding-up, is required to send details of their claim (including their full name, address, date of birth and details of when they were employed) in writing to the Trustee c/o Vidett, Forbury Works, 37-43 Blagrave Street, Reading, Berkshire RG1 1PZ or

evonik@vidett.com

within two months of the date of publication of this notice.

The Degussa-Hüls Employees’ Pension Scheme, Evonik Pension Scheme and Synthetic Chemicals
Pension Scheme merged into the Scheme by a transfer of their assets and liabilities to the Scheme in 2020. Notice is also given to any person who believes they have an interest in or entitlement to benefits under the Scheme, or have a claim against the Scheme deriving from the Degussa-Hüls Employees’ Pension Scheme, Evonik Pension Scheme or Synthetic Chemicals Pension Scheme.

After the expiry of the two-month notice period, the Trustee will proceed to wind up the Scheme having regard only to the claims and interests of which it has had notice and will not be liable to any person of whose claim it has not had notice.

Please note that if you receive a pension from the Scheme, or you have recently received correspondence from the Trustee regarding the winding up of the Scheme, you need not reply to this notice as the Trustee already has full details about your entitlement.
