Worthing Borough Council, being the Billing Authority for the Borough of Worthing, hereby gives notice that it has set the following amounts of Council Tax for the period 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027.

*The amount payable is directly related to a Band ‘D’ property. For example the Band ‘D’ charge is £2,456.13 and therefore Band ‘A’ properties pay 6/9ths of this, equal to £1,637.42.
INFORMATION FOR COUNCIL TAX PAYERS
The 2026/2027 Council Tax bills will be issued in March 2026. Payment may now be made by twelve equal monthly instalments from 1st April to 1st March inclusive (please contact the Council if you wish to pay by twelve instalments). Alternatively, settlement may be made yearly, half yearly or quarterly in advance. Instalment due dates are notified on the bills.
Single people and owners of some unoccupied properties can apply for a discount. People on low incomes or with disabilities may not have to pay the full amount.
It is possible to appeal to the Valuation Office Agency against a banding assessment. Payment must be made on the existing bill until any outstanding appeal or other application for relief is allowed.
