HORSHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL hereby gives notice that on the 23 February 2026 it set the
Council Tax and as billing authority made the determinations in respect of the financial year beginning
on the 1 April 2026 as follows:

Second homes
The Council Tax payable for second homes (furnished dwellings not the sole or main residence of any
individual) shall be 100%, plus an additional premium of 100%.
Empty dwellings
That the Council Tax discount for empty dwellings (being unoccupied and substantially unfurnished for less
than one year) including uninhabitable shall be 0%.
Long term empty dwellings
That the Council Tax payable in respect of long-term empty dwellings (being unoccupied and substantially
unfurnished for a continuous period of over one year but less than five years) will be 100% plus an additional
premium of 100%.
That the Council Tax payable in respect of long-term empty dwellings (being unoccupied and substantially
unfurnished for a continuous period of over five years but less than ten years) will be 100% plus an
additional premium of 200%.
That the Council Tax payable in respect of long-term empty dwellings (being unoccupied and substantially
unfurnished for a continuous period of over ten years) will be 100% plus an additional premium of 300%.
The determinations shall apply from 1 April 2025.
