NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Heywood Lane/Wilkesley Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Heywood Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley – For the full extent.

Wilkesley Lane, Dodcott Cum Wilkesley – From the junction of Heywood Lane to outside The Ivy House.

For specific diversions please visit one.network
This order will come into operation on Monday 16th March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 8th May 2026.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Moss Lane, Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Moss Lane, Macclesfield – From the junction on London Road to the junction of Rutland Road. The alternative route will be via London Road, Lyme Avenue, Parkgate Road, Moss Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Tuesday 10th March 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 20th March 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING – (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) 
(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022
(Amendment No. 49) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on 26 February 2026 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53 and 61, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.

1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 9 March 2026 will be to -
a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the restrictions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No.s BD153 and BE153 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

2. A copy of the Order; a map showing the restricted areas; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order are available to view at: bit.ly/2RR0UkD.  Or, if you do not have access to the internet, please contact 0300 123 5020 for further details or to request paper copies. 

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 S15 – TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS

Public Footpath No. 7 Parish of Prestbury
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 2nd September 2026.

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That length of Public Footpath Number No. 7 Prestbury which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9076 7741 and runs in a generally north north east direction and then east north east direction for approx. 424 m. to OSGR SJ 9099 7773.

The closure is necessary until essential bridge repairs are completed.
