THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING

(ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2017 (AS AMENDED)

Medway Council as Local Planning Authority has received the following applications which are being advertised to ascertain the views of persons living near the sites and other interested parties. The proposed developments relate to one or more of the following:

1. The site of the application is within/affecting the setting of a designated Conservation Area (Section 73) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

2. The application relates to, or affects the setting of a Listed Building (Section 67) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

3. The application is for a Major Development;

Reason 3

Application for non-material amendment to planning permission MC/11/2756 - to extent condition 2 timeframe from 13 years to 15 years for the reserve matters submission.

Reason 1

Replacement of existing timber box sash windows with PVCu vertical sliders in white with white astragal bars.

MC/26/0161 18 High Street, Upnor, Rochester, Medway

Reason 2

Construction of single storey part rear extension to replace existing lean-to; fire damage repair to whole property.

WILSON AVENUE, ROCHESTER

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water pipe repair works to be carried out -

Wilson Avenue, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 239 Wilson Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Wilson Avenue, Gerrard Avenue, Grafton Avenue, Wallace Road, Wilson Avenue.

This order will come into force on Monday, 13 March 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 13 March 2026 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

TUNBURY AVENUE, CHATHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -

Tunbury Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Victoria Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Victoria Road, York Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Walderslade Road, Robin Hood Lane, Tunbury Avenue and return.

This order will come into force on Monday, 16 February 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 16 February 2026 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

TEASEL ROAD, CHATHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable telecoms maintenance works to be carried out -

Teasel Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with Speedwell Avenue to outside No.7 Teasel Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Speedwell Avenue, Silverweed Road, Sorrel Road and return.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 25 February 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 25 February 2026 and are programmed for completion within one day. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

PUMP LANE, RAINHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out -

Pump Lane, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic at the junction with Lower Rainham Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Beechings Way, Yokosuka Way, B2004 Lower Rainham Road, and reversed.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 18 February 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 18 February 2026 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a decayed telegraph pole to be replaced -

Perry Hill, Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Perry Hill Farm. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Cooling Street, Cooling Common and return.

This order will come into force on Monday, 16 March 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. PARKSIDE, CLIFFE WOODS

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable safety works to be carried out -

Parkside, Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from across the frontage of 20 Parkside to the junction with Tennyson Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.

This order will come into force on Monday, 16 March 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. GRAIN LEVEL CROSSING, ISLE OF GRAIN

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable renewal of the level crossing and installation of Edilon track system -

Grain Level Crossing, Isle of Grain - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the level crossing and 20 metres either side. No alternative route is available. At the point for the turnaround of the Arriva buses, a shuttle bus will escort pedestrians to Grain level crossing.

They will be marshalled over the crossing on foot to a shuttle bus waiting on the opposite side of the crossing, which will then escort pedestrians into the Isle of Grain.

This order will come into force on Saturday, 16 February 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence 10pm on Saturday, 16 February 2026 and are programmed for completion by 3am Monday, 16 February. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NEW HALL FARM LANE, HIGH HALSTOW

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable road subsidence repair works to be carried out -

New Hall Farm Lane, High Halstow - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Cuckholds Green Road and the junction with Stoke Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Stoke Road, Ratcliffe Highway, Cuckholds Green Road and return.

This order will come into force on Tuesday, 3 March 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 3 March 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

MERESBOROUGH ROAD, RAINHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the replacement of a decayed telegraph pole -

Meresborough Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from outside Orchard Stables, for approximately 100 metres in a southerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Meresborough Road, Meresborough Lane, Spade Lane, London Road and return.

This order will come into force on Monday, 2 March 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 March 2026 and are programmed for completion within two days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

MAIN ROAD, HOO ST WERBURGH

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable mains fitting repair to be carried out -

Main Road, Hoo St Werburgh - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 79 Main Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via A228 Peninsula Way Bell’s Lane and reverse.
