Licence Fees for 2026/27

On 14th January 2026, Chesterfield Borough Council determined that the fees charged for the licensing of hackney carriage & private hire vehicles, operators and drivers should be varied in accordance with the proposed fees in the table below. Any objections to the proposed fees must be made in writing to the Licensing section, Town Hall, Rose Hill, Chesterfield S40 1LP and must be received by the Licensing Section no later than the 5th March 2026. If no objection to the proposed variations are made, or if all objections are withdrawn, the proposed variations shall come into operation on 1st April 2026 or the date of withdrawal of any objections, whichever date is the latter. If objection is made and not withdrawn, the Council will set a further date on which the proposed variations shall come into force with or without modification after consideration of the objections. and a copy may be inspected at the Town Hall by the public free of charge on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 9.00am to 5.00pm up to and including the 5th March 2026.
