What is happening?
Hertfordshire County Council
Proposal to enlarge , by 12 places through the opening of a
Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) unit for
pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
needs, during the academic year 2026/27.
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and
Inspections Act 2006 that Hertfordshire County Council intends to
make a prescribed alteration to Westfield Primary School & Nursery,
Durrants Lane, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 3PJ, a community
school for children and young people aged 3 to 11, during the
academic year 2026/27.
Hertfordshire County Council proposes to create a 12 place SEND
unit at Westfield Primary School & Nursery during the academic year
2026/27, for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
and who have SEMH needs.
