The Church Commissioners have prepared a draft Pastoral Scheme providing for the church of Saint Martin’s, in the parish of Yapham cum Meltonby, to be declared closed for regular public worship. A copy may be inspected at the church of Saint Martin’s, Yapham cum Meltonby, at Yapham Village Hall, Meltonby Lane, York, YO42 1PH, online at

or obtained from the Commissioners. Large print and/or audio copies are available. You may make representations either for or against all or part of the draft Scheme in writing by post or, preferably, by email to Shaman Durrant, Church Commissioners,

to reach her by Monday 2nd March 2026.
