What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF FYLDE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE ACT 1992
At the meeting of 25th November 2025 the Council determined that it would, from 1st April
2026, amend the policy in respect of Long-Term Empty properties such that the additional
Council Tax Premium charge of 100% would apply to properties which have been empty for
longer than one year, rather than properties which have been empty for longer than two
years as had been the policy up until 1st April 2026.
