What is happening?
Public Schools Act 1868
The Governing Body of Shrewsbury School has made a Statute amending the School’s Statutes and the same has been published in The London Gazette as required by the above-named Act.
Notice is given that an electronic copy of the said Statute is available from the website at
https://www.shrewsbury.org.uk/about-shrewsbury/governance
and a paper copy is available for inspection in the School Reception, Shrewsbury School, The Schools, Shrewsbury, SY3 7BA.
Any person or body corporate authorised by the said Act, may, within two months after publication of this notice, petition His Majesty in Council to withhold His approval from the whole or any part of the said Statute. Any petition must be received by the Privy Council Office by email to
