Manchester Road - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Cyclists to Facilitate Bee Network Cycleway Works Within the Carriageway

What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(A58 MANCHESTER ROAD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from proceeding along Manchester Road from its junction opposite Tweedale Street to its junction with The Bent on the westerly footway for a distance of 370 metres.

The Order is required to facilitate Bee Network Cycleway Works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 07:30 on the 1st December 2025 until 16:30 on the 25th January 2026.

The alternative route for pedestrians & cyclists will be signed on site.
