What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL (FURBER ROAD, ST. GEORGE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Furber Road which extends from Sheldare Barton northwards for 27 metres.

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 15th December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 15th December 2025 and 17th December 2025).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Furber Road (part unaffected), Kingsway, New Brunswick Avenue, Furber Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
