What is happening?

Belfast City Council has prepared draft Supplementary Planning Guidance
(SPG) associated with Policy CC1: Development Opportunity Sites
contained in the Belfast Local Development Plan (LDP) Plan Strategy. SPG
represents non-statutory planning guidance that supports and clarifies
planning policies and is intended to assist policy implementation

The Council is publishing draft Development Opportunity Areas (DOA) SPG for
public consultation. The draft SPG will be available for public inspection from
Thursday 06 November 2025 and submissions may be made during the public
consultation period, which will close at 5pm on Thursday 29 January 2026.
Submissions received after this time will not be considered.
The draft SPG will be available online at

www.belfastcity.gov.uk/LDP

Thursday 06 November 2025. It will also be available for inspection at the
Cecil Ward Building, 4-10 Linenhall Street, Belfast, BT2 8BP during normal
public opening hours. Submissions can be submitted online using the Belfast
City Council consultation site accessible at

www.belfastcity.gov.uk/LDP
