Sections 53 and 70
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council (the “Council”) proposes to vary the maximum fees chargeable under Section 70(2) in respect of hackney carriage proprietors’ licences, private hire vehicle licences and private hire operators’ licences to the amount shown below.
Hackney Carriage Proprietor’ (vehicle) Licence = £262.00
Private Hire Vehicle Licence = £239.00
Private Hire Operators’ Licence = £328.00
Under Section 53(2), the Council proposes to levy a maximum fee of £262.00 in respect of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Drivers’ Licences.
Objections to the variations should be made in writing by 10 December 2025 and emailed to the Licensing Team at
taxilicensing.kbc@northnorthants.gov.uk
or by post at the address shown below.
The proposed fees will take effect on 11 December 2025 unless objections are made and not withdrawn. Any objections received, if not withdrawn, will be considered by the Licensing and Appeals Committee and the fees, with or without modification, shall come into force on 26 January 2026.
A copy of this Notice shall for a period of twenty-eight days from the date of this Notice be available for inspection without payment at North Northamptonshire Council, Sheerness House, 41 Meadow Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 8TL.
