What is happening?
OPEN SPACE NOTICE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123(2A)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sheffield City Council (‘the Council’) proposes to dispose of areas of land which consist or form part of areas of deemed open space.
The areas of land to be disposed of, by way of freehold sales, are:
(1) Approximately 0.75ha of land at Fife Street, Sheffield, S9 1NR
(2) Approximately 0.44ha of land at Lavender Way, Sheffield, S5 6DD
(3) Approximately 0.11ha of land at Chapelwood Road, Sheffield, S9 5AY
(4) Approximately 0.41ha of land at Wordsworth Avenue, Sheffield, S5 9FP
(5) Approximately 0.81ha of land at Longley Hall Road, Sheffield, S5 7JG
(6) Approximately 0.23ha of land at Milton Street, Sheffield, S3 7LF
(7) Approximately 0.82ha of land at Ridgeway Road, Sheffield, S12 2TW
(8) Approximately 0.52ha of land at Oxley Close, Sheffield, S36 1LG
(9) Approximately 0.58ha of land at Leighton Drive, Sheffield, S14 1ST
It is proposed that the land to be sold shall be used for social and affordable dwellinghouses. Plans showing the areas of land intended for disposal (outlined in red) can be inspected at Howden House, Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH between the hours of 8:45am and 4:45pm Monday to Friday.

Objections to the intended disposals must be made in writing, stating the grounds for objection with specific reference to the site number and address, no later than 12 noon on 4 December 2025 and addressed to Angela Glentworth, Regeneration and Property Services, Sheffield City Council, Howden House, Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2HH or by e-mail to
