Newry Mourne and Down District Council - Statement of Community Involvement
What is happening?
In accordance with Regulation 7 of the Planning (Statement of Community
Involvement) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015, Newry, Mourne and
Down District Council hereby gives notice of the publication of a revision
to its Statement of Community Involvement (Revision 2, September 2025)
in respect of the following detail:
1 Change of location of the Newry Planning Office to Haughey House, Unit
19, Rampart Road, Greenbank Industrial Estate, Newry, BT34 2QU.
2 New location where the Local Development Plan, representations and
counter representations can be inspected at Warrenpoint Town Hall,
Church Street, Warrenpoint, BT34 3HN.
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) outlines how the Council
will engage with its citizens and stakeholders in exercising its planning
functions. It sets out the procedures for involving the community in the
production of the District’s Local Development Plan 2020 – 2035, in the
consideration of planning applications, in planning enforcement and in the
Council’s other planning functions.
The SCI is available for inspection between the hours of 9.00am-5.00pm
(Monday-Friday) at the Council’s Planning Offices:
