Woking Borough Council Festival of Remembrance
Sunday 9 November 2025
The Remembrance Service on Sunday 9 November 2025 will commence at the War Memorial in Jubilee Square, Woking at 10.35am, concluding with a Two Minute Silence and laying of wreaths. Following the conclusion of the Service, uniformed units and organisations will march past the Mayor and Members of the Civic Procession in Church Street East. Everyone is invited to attend, whether as members of service, pre-service, ex-service units, civilian organisations or individuals.
A limited number of seats will be available on request for persons wishing to sit during the service. Singers from local choirs and bands will support the singing of hymns and National Anthem.  The layout of Jubilee Square for the Remembrance Service Parade and the disposition of the Civic Procession and the various units and organisations will be under the control of the Parade Marshal and all units and organisations are asked to respond to his directions.
Any person wishing to lay a wreath should make themselves known to the Wreath Announcer, who will be located in Jubilee Square, by 10am in order that they can join the Wreath Laying Group. Organisations wishing to join the parade are asked to assemble outside the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, Church Street East no later than 9.50am.
The parade will form up under orders of the Parade Marshal and will leave at 10.15am and march to the War Memorial to be in position by 10.30am.
A road closure will be in place along Church Street East between 8am and 12noon. Tuesday 11 November 2025 Woking Borough Council will be supporting the Royal British Legion by observing the Town Minute Silence in Jubilee Square on Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 11am.
All are welcome to attend the short ceremony which will commence at approximately 10.45am.
