NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF AN ASSET OF COMMUNITY VALUE
The Half Moon Inn, Silver Street, Barton, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 6JH
North Yorkshire Council has received notification from the owners of The Half Moon Inn, Silver Street, Barton, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 6JH that they intend to dispose of the above property. The property is currently listed on the Council’s Register of Assets of Community Value.
Under the Localism Act 2011 (Section 95-97), a moratorium period on disposal of the property exists from 10 September 2025 to 21 October 2025. During this time disposal of the property/land is not permitted, unless it falls within an exemption as outlined in Annexe A of the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012.
During the moratorium period requests in writing from a community interest group to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset should be sent via email to: assetsofcommunityvalue.NYC@northyorks.gov.uk or in writing to: Parish Liaison and Local Devolution Manager, North Yorkshire Council, Harrogate Civic Centre, St Lukes Mount, Harrogate, HG1 2AE
