What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE HAMPDEN STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hampden Street from its junction with Maclure Road to Richard Street
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Hampden Street from its junction with Maclure Road to Richard Street.
The Order is required to facilitate installation of BT cable within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 29th September 2025 until 23:59 on the 6th October 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Maclure Road, Richard Street.
(ELIOTT STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Elliott Street from its junction with Yorkhire Street, Rochdale direction for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Elliott Street from its junction with Yorkshire Street, Rochdale direction for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. The Order is required to facilitate Reset cover within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 26th September 2025 until 23:59 on the 26th September 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Yorkshire Street, Regent Street, Jermyn Street, Elliott Street & vice versa.
(SMITHY BRIDGE ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH (5)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smithy Bridge Road from a point 15 metres north west of the level crossing for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate safe maintenance works to the Railway level crossing.
The Order will be operative from 00:10 on the 21st September 2025 until 05:30 on the 21st September 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street, Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road (A58), Smithy Bridge Road & vice versa.
