TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic. 

TEMPORARY PARKING BAY SUSPENSION ORDER ON OSMASTON ROAD, DERBY 
WHEN: 06 October 2025 to 14 November 2025 
WHERE: Osmaston Road, from outside number 848 to outside number 852 – a distance of approximately 11 metres 
REASON: Highway works 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A 

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON EAST AVENUE, MICKLEOVER, DERBY 
WHEN: 20 October 2025 to 22 October 2025 
WHERE: East Avenue, from its junction with Clifton Drive to its junction with Devonshire Drive 
REASON: Drainage works 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: East Avenue – Buxton Drive – Brisbane Road – Darwin Road – Devonshire Drive and the same in the opposite direction 

TEMPORARY PARKING BAY SUSPENSION ORDER ON CANAL STREET, DERBY 
WHEN: 20 October 2025 to 31 October 2025 
WHERE: Canal Street, from outside unit 4 & 5, number 36, to outside The Mill – a distance of approximately 25 metres 
REASON: Gas works 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A

Derby City Council (Hardwick) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.141) Order 2024

DERBY CITY COUNCIL made the Traffic Regulation Orders on the 18th day of September 2025, which will become effective from the 24th day of September 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of schedule 9 to the 1984 Act. 

The purpose of the Orders is to bring into effect the following: Prohibition of driving of motor vehicles (Mon-Fri 8.30am-9.00am and 2.45pm-3.30pm) (Permit Holder Exemption) exemptions 1, 2 

• On Hastings Street from its junction with St James’ Road to the end of the cul-de-sac outside Derby Family Medical Centre. 

• On Dover Street from its junction with St James’ Road to the end of the cul-de-sac outside Dover Court. No Stopping (Mon-Fri 8:30am-9:00am & 2:45pm-3.30pm) 

• On St James’ Road opposite no’s: 67-77. 

A copy of the Orders and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Orders on the grounds that they are outside the powers of the Acts or because they do not comply with any requirement or regulations made under them, may, within six weeks of the date of the Orders apply to the High Court for this purpose.
