SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Hodden Lane, Pucklechurch) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles the entire length of Hodden Lane. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order became operative from 22 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. No alternative route available. 

(Manor Road, Rangeworthy) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Manor Road which extends from Wotton Road eastwards for 350m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with HV cable installation works. The order became operative from 22 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Alternative route: B4058, Yate Road, Iron Acton Way, North Road and vice versa. 

(Footpaths Network Harescombe by 6 to Littledean by 55, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Footpaths Network Harescombe by 6 to Littledean by 55 which extends from Harescombe westwards for 20m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon excavation and new ducting works. The order became operative from 23 September 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: Footpaths network Harescombe by 6 to Littledean by 55. 

(Bradley Stoke Way – Northbound, Bradley Stoke) (Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles and foot passengers that length of Bradley Stoke Way northbound carriageway bus lane which extends from a point 165m north of Savages Wood Roundabout northwards for 30m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon trial hole works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 25 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 8am and 6pm. 

(Hall End Lane, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hall End Lane which extends from a point 281m south west of Westend Road south westwards for 917m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with drainage refurbishment works to all drainage assets. The order became operative from 26 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days duration, between 11:30pm on 26/09/2025 to 6am on 29/09/2025. Alternative route: Hall End Lane (parts unaffected), Wickwar Road, Wotton Road, Bagstone Road, Bristol Road, The Downs Road, The Downs, Sodbury Road, Frith Lane and vice versa. 

(A4017 Bromley Heath Road, Quakers Road and Bampton Drive, Downend) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) (Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; b) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in the road specified in column 1 of Schedule 2 to this notice from making a right turn into the road specified in relation to that road in column 2 of the said Schedule. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Active Travel CRSTS works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 28 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 weeks duration. (Dyers Lane, Iron Acton) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Dyers Lane which extends from a point 25m south of Mission Road southwards for 20m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order will be operative from 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Dyers Lane, Yate Road, Wotton Road, Chaingate Lane, Dyers Lane. 

(Old Gloucester Road, Alveston) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Old Gloucester Road which extends from a point 115m east of Thornbury Road north eastwards for 100m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with demolish and exiting box works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 8 days duration. No alternative route available: Dead end road. 

(Charles Road, Filton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Charles Road which extends from a point 10m north west of Warren Road north westwards for 20m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with manhole cover repair works. The order will be operative from 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration. Alternative route: Charles Road (parts unaffected), Hunters Way, Filton Avenue and vice versa. 

(Court Road, Oldland Common) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Court Road which extends from a point in line with property No.86 north westwards for 30m and in a south eastwards for 30m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon drainage improvement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Alternative route: Court Road (part unaffected), West Street, Cowhorn Hill, Tower Road South, Cadbury Heath Road, Parkwall Road, California Road and vice versa. 

(Old Gloucester Road, Winterbourne) (No.4) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Old Gloucester Road which extends from a point 350m north of Winterbourne Road northwards for 250m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 14 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between 9am and 4pm. Alternative route: Church Road, Latteridge Hill, Latteridge Road, Bristol Road, High Street, Beacon Lane and Winterbourne Road and vice versa. 

(A38 Gloucester Road, Thornbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025 
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of A38 Gloucester Road which extends from Grovesend Road north eastwards for 150m and a south westwards for 150m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 14 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 8pm and 6am. Alternative route: A38, A4174 Link Road, B4058, B4509, A38 and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Guest Avenue which extends from Berkeley Way northwards for 20m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with manhole cover replacement works. The order will be operative from 15 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration.
