Bower Hill Lane (D355) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 12 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bower Hill Lane (D355) South Nutfield as extends from the access for the property known as “Nettles” to the access for the property known as “Brays Farm House”. Alternative Route – Hogtrough Lane and Clay Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate high voltage railway works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 September 2025 for 6 months, between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Tilburstow Hill Road (D395) South Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 12 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilburstow Hill Road (D395) South Godstone as extends from the access for the property known as “Yew Tree Farn” to the access for the property known as “Rosedene”. Alternative Route – B2236 (Eastbourne Road) and A22 (Eastbourne Road), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable of SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 September 2025 for 6 months, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within the closure as well as for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Bunce Common Road (C58) Leigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bunce Common Road (C58) Leigh as extends from its junction with (C59) Newdigate Road to its junction with (C54) Shellwood Road. Alternative Route: Shellwood Road, Clayhill Road, and Newdigate Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the marshalls on site, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone. Alternative Route: (A25) Oxted Road, Flower Lane, and Gangers Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telecom pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
(Various Roads in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and the District of Mole Valley) Run Reigate Event (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), which will take effect on 21 September 2025 for one day only, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice or any parts thereof. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals.
The Order is required to facilitate the holding of 4 on-road running events namely the Run Reigate Half Marathon, 10K Race, 5K Race and Kids Race. The restrictions specified above will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police. Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic. No exemption will apply for disabled persons’ vehicles and all parking places in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below will be suspended.
The prohibitions herein will only be operative while the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, or for facilitating the passage of vehicular traffic on the road, vehicular access to premises situated in the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted, save for emergency access as indicated above.
Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. It is anticipated that the temporary closures will take effect from 8am until 2pm, though roads will re-open when it is safe and practical to do so. The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Alternative routes will be signed and access to Westvale Park will be maintained by suspending the prohibition of turn/entry to and from Webber Street from Meath Green Lane at its northernmost junction, imposed by The Meath Green Lane (D334) and Webber Street Horley (Prohibition of Turn and Entry and Revocation) Order 2022.

Bonehurst Road (A23) Horley Temporary One-Way Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bonehurst Road (A23) Horley as extends from its junction with (D356) Crossoak Lane to its junction with (X1) Cambridge Lodge Park in any direction other southwards. Alternative Route for northbound traffic – A23 Balcombe Road; A23 Brighton Road; A217 Reigate Road; A217 Dovers Green Road; A2044 Woodhatch Road; A23 Brighton Road; and A23 Bonehurst Road.
This Order, which will commence on 01 October 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highways improvement and/or highway maintenance and/or bell bollard installation and/or kerb replacement works. Works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 week between the hours of 8pm and 6am Monday to Saturday. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The above restrictions shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access for residents and businesses and emergency service vehicles will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour.
Fullerswood Lane (D381) Redhill and Fullerswood Lane (D381) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Fullerswood Lane (D381) Redhill as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Hazelhurst” southwest-wards and southwards for a distance of 500 metres.
Alternative Route – A25 Nutfield Road; Redstone Hollow; and Philanthropic Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 02 October 2025 is required to facilitate telegraph pole testing and/or telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling works and/ or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
Leith Road (D551) Beare Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Leith Road (D551) Beare Green as extends from its junction with (D551) Leith Grove to its junction with (D551) Woodside Road.
Alternative Route – Woodside Road; Highland Road; and Leith Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 29 September 2025 is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 8am and 6pm Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
C67 Redehall Road, Smallfield and D408 Station Road, Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or footway patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists (which may be instructed to dismount) will be maintained at all times.
Schedule 1. that length of D408 Station Road, Lingfield which extends from the southern property boundary line of “Pine Chalet” and the northern property boundary line of No.56. Alternative Route – D408 Station Road, D410 Bakers Lane, D409 Saxbys Lane and D408 Station Road; 2. that length of C67 Redehall Road, Smallfield which extends from its junction with Antland Lane to its junction with Harts Mead.
Alternative Route – C67 Redehall Road, C66 Plough Road, C66 Smallfield Road, C66 Bones Lane, B2028 West Park Road and B2037 Effingham Road. Woodhurst Lane (D424) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding that length of Woodhurst Lane (D424) Oxted as extends from the access for the property known as “Manorside” to its junction with Oast Road (D424); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” insofar as it relates to the length of road in (a). Alternative Route – Woodhurst Lane, A25 (East Hill), Rockfield Road, Wolfs Hill, Hurstlands, Greenhurst Lane, Hurst Green Road and Woodhurst Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2025 for 2 days, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Hurst Road (C55) Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding that length of Hurst Road (C55) Headley as extends from its junction with Walton Road (D2476) and Hurst Lane (C55) to a point 205 metres west of the access for the property known as “Albion Stud”.
Alternative Route – Hurst Road, Ebbisham Lane, B2220 (Chequers Lane), B2032 (Dorking Road), B2033 (Headley Common Road), Church Lane and Hurst Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends from its junction with Outwood Lane and Chipstead Valley Road (B2032) to a point 138 metres southwest of this junction.
Alternative Route – How Lane, Hollymead Road, Portnalls Road and B2032 (Chipstead Valley Road), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Rookery Hill (D2337) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rookery Hill (D2337) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (C56) Farm Lane to its junction with (X68092) Park Drive. Alternative Route: Rookery Hill, Park Lane, and Farm Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate clearing blockages for, or on behalf of Circet Uk Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Bowerland Lane (D408) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bowerland Lane (D408) Lingfield. Alternative Route: Crowhurst Road, and Haxted Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Croydon Road (D1431) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of;
(a) Croydon Road (D1431) Caterham;
(b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads) Caterham (Variation of Waiting Restrictions and One Way Traffic) Order 1982” insofar as it affects that length of road in part (a) of this Notice;
(c) Suspend any One-Way Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in (a) of this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate S278 improvement works for, or on behalf of FK Restoration Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 weeks, between the hours of 4pm and 7am, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. There is no alternative route for this closure.
D361 Wheelers Lane, Smallfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D361 Wheelers Lane, Smallfield. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – D356 Broadbridge Lane, C66 Weatherhill Road and C66 Redehall Road.
C55 Hurst Road, Walton-on-the-Hill/Headley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C55 Hurst Road, Walton-on-the-Hill/Headley, between Ebbisham Lane and Hurst Lane.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route. Access for residents, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Various in Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement works and/or any other associated gas works, within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 October 2025 and is anticipated to be carried out between 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so by road plates and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Schedule 1. the entire length of D590 Fairlawns, Horley.
Works are anticipated to be carried out between 20/10/2025 and 01/12/2025. Due to the road being a cul-de-sac, vehicular access will be maintained where possible, but this may be restricted at certain times. This road will only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period;
2. the entire length of D344 Limes Avenue, Horley. Works are anticipated to be carried out between in phases between 06/10/2025 and 17/11/2025. Alternative Route – Limes Avenue, Victoria Road and Balcombe Road;
3. the entire length of D349 Rosemary Lane, Horley. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 17/11/2025 and 19/12/2025. Alternative Route – Station Approach, Victoria Road and Balcombe Road;
4. that length of D349 Station Approach, Horley which extends from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with The Grove. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 03/11/2025 and 24/11/2025.
Alternative Route – Station Approach, Victoria Road and Balcombe Road;
5. the entire length of D349 The Grove, Horley. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 13/10/2025 and 24/11/2025.

D290 Cathill Lane, Ockley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D290 Cathill Lane, Ockley.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Alternative Route – A29 Stane Street, B2126 Forest Green Road and D290 Mole Street.
