Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting of Sturminster Newton Royal British Legion Club (Club) will be held at its premises at Bath Road, Sturminster Newton, Dorset DT10 1DU (Premises) on 30th September 2025 at 6.30 pm at which members will be asked to consider and vote on the resolutions below.
Following a failure of the Club to hold elections for the Committee in November 2024, to confirm in their Committee positions the following persons until the next Annual General Meeting to be held in November 2025: Chairman – Andrew Conduit; Secretary – Jo Gee; Treasurer – Rebecca Campbell; Committee Member – Martin Burton; and Committee Member – Robin Fearon.
To ratify the appointment by the Committee of the following members to vacancies on the Committee until the next Annual General Meeting: President – Terry Cox; Vice-Chairman – Neil Howbrook; Committee Member – Alexander Campbell; Committee Member – Peter Chaffey; Committee Member – Bernard Proctor; and Committee Member – Paul Thompson
To approve the sale by auction of the Premises.
To be eligible to vote members of the Club must produce evidence of their continued membership of the Royal British Legion since November 2023 and have paid all Club subscriptions that are due. Any queries about the meeting should be addressed to Becky Campbell at sturrblclub@outlook.com
