NOTICE OF MAKING

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL
(BLETCHLEY FOOTPATH 28 (PART) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order was made on the 9th September 2025, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-

Will divert approximately 681 metres of the public footpath running from OS Grid Reference 486573 231724 (Point A) to OS Grid Reference 486712 232298 (Point B). As shown between points A-B on the Order Plan.

A new length of public footpath will travel from point C (OS Grid Reference 485979 231799), then in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 64 metres to point D (OS Grid Reference SP486029 231835), then in a generally east south easterly direction for approximately 549 metres to point A (OS Grid Reference 486573 231724), then in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 351 metres to point E (OS Grid Reference 486918 231795), then in a generally northerly direction for approximately 20 metres until point F (OS Grid Reference SP486912 231812), then in a generally easterly direction for approximately 24 metres until point G (OS Grid Reference 486936 231817), then in a generally northerly direction for approximately 15 metres until point H (OS Grid Reference 486942 231832), then in a generally easterly direction for approximately 11 metres until point I (OS Grid Reference 486949 231836), then in a generally northerly direction for approximately 296 metres until point J (OS Grid Reference 486996 232114), then in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 173 metres until point K (OS Grid Reference 487029 232261), then in a generally easterly direction for approximately 54 metres until point L (OS Grid Reference 487087 232282), then in a generally northerly direction for approximately 66 metres until point M (OS Grid Reference 487082 232348), then in a generally west south westerly direction for approximately 355 metres until point N (OS Grid Reference 486737 232264), then in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 41 metres until point B (OS Grid Reference 486712 232298). The length of the new route will be approximately 2019 metres and will have a width of 2 metres. As shown between points C-D-A-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-B. on the Order Plan.

and on public display within a window marked Public Notices, located to the far left of the frontage of Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be purchased at the price of £3.00 by writing to Legal Services, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Office, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, enclosing a cheque made payable to Milton Keynes City Council. Please quote reference PE-SA-34872

Any representations about or objections to the Order together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and contain contact details and sent to the Head of Legal Services, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ to be received no later than 17th October 2025, quoting reference PE-SA-34872 Anonymous objections cannot be accepted.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Milton Keynes City Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
