The U6503 Croft Road and George Lambton Avenue - Temporary Closure to Facilitate Carriageway Resurfacing
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6503 CROFT ROAD AND GEORGE LAMBTON AVENUE, NEWMARKET
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6503 Croft Road, Newmarket and the U6503 George Lambton Avenue, Newmarket from Gordon Richards Close to Noel Mudess Drive to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be George Lambton Avenue, the B1103 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 -25/09/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
