TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MEADOW STREET, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Meadow Street commencing from its junction with Windsor Street and continuing to its junction with Norfolk Street. 

The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Tuesday 26th August 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to perform internal chamber surveys on the said road. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 27th August 2025. 

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Exemptions will be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) local vehicular access to Meadow Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS BENNETTS ROAD NORTH, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a temporary Order the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on that part of Bennetts Road North commencing at its junction with Howat Road and continuing to its junction with Miners Lane. 

The Order would take effect from 00.01 hours on Saturday 23rd August 2025 and is required to enable Section 278 (Highways Act 1980) highway works to be undertaken safely. The Order would remain in effect for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events or until the said works are completed. It is expected the works would be completed by Friday 29th August 2025 and at that point the Order would lapse. Exemptions to the Order would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) local vehicular access. 

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Any person requiring further information in connection with this order should contact Network Management on telephone number 07944 748152 or 07867 343833.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS PIKERS LANE, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Pikers Lane from its junction with Wall Hill Road to its junction with Bridle Brook Lane to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 27 August 2025 and is required to enable the installation of new water connection and associated works on Pikers Lane to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 29 August 2025. 

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site. Exemptions will be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Pikers Lane. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. NOTICE OF MAKING (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 

City of Coventry (Brownshill Green Road, Coundon Wedge Drive, Long Lane, Tamworth Road, Wall Hill Road and Hawkes Mill Lane)

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on 25th August 2025. 

The effect of this Order shall be to reduce the speed limit to 30mph on the following lengths of road: -

Road Extent

Brownshill Green Road

From the roundabout junction with Long Lane, Wall Hill Road and Coundon Wedge Drive in a south easterly direction to a point approximately 16 metres north west of its junction with Waste Lane (the extents of the former 40mph speed limit)

Coundon Wedge Drive

From the roundabout junction with Long Lane,

Wall Hill Road and Brownshill Green Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 220 metres.

Long Lane

From its junction with Tamworth Road to its roundabout junction with Brownshill Green Road, Coundon Wedge Drive, and Wall Hill Road.

Tamworth Road

From a point approximately 35 metres south east of its junction with Long Lane (the extents of the former 40mph speed limit) to a point approximately 240 metres north west of that junction.

Wall Hill Road

From the roundabout junction with Long Lane, Brownshill Green Road and Coundon Wedge Drive in a north westerly direction to a point approximately 20 metres north of its junction with Hawks Mill Lane (the extents of the former 40mph speed limit).

Hawkes Mill Lane

From its junction with Wall Hill Road in a westerly direction to a point approximately

20 metres east of its junction with Browns Lane (the extents of the former 40mph speed limit)

The speed limit changes will improve safety and amenity in conjunction with the Coundon Cycle Scheme. 

A copy of this Notice, the Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’ Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from date the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS PROVIDENCE STREET, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Providence Street on highway fronting no15 and continuing to no25 Providence Street, with a one way suspension allowing two way traffic for the full length of the road. The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 1st September 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to repair a chamber cover on the said road. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 1st September 2025. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) local vehicular access to Providence Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS PARADISE STREET, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Paradise Street for its full length. The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 1st September 2025 and is required to allow for the installation of a new heat network on the said road. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 28th September 2025. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) local vehicular access to Paradise Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS PETITOR CRESCENT, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Petitor Crescent outside number 56 to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 3 September 2025 and is required to enable boundary box installation and associated works on Petitor Crescent to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 4 September 2025. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. Exemptions would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Petitor Crescent. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Wall Hill Road from its junction with Pikers Lane to its junction with Bridle Brook Lane to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 3 September 2025 and is required to enable the installation of new water connection and associated works on Wall Hill Road to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 5 September 2025. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. Exemptions would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Wall Hill Road. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS TORCROSS AVENUE, COVENTRY 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Torcross Avenue commencing from its junction with Curtis Road and continuing to its junction with Wyken Croft. The Order would come into effect at 08.00 hours on Monday 1st September 2025 and is required to repair a manhole cover and frame on the said road. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. 

It is expected that the works would be completed by 17.00 hours on Monday 1st September 2025. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) local vehicular access to Torcross Avenue Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
