Milton Keynes - Anti-Social Behaviour Public Space Protection Order
What is happening?
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL
Milton Keynes City Council is seeking feedback on a proposed extension to the existing Vehicle Related Anti-Social Behaviour Public Space Protection Order (commonly referred to as the car cruising PSPO). PSPOs are legal tools introduced under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. They allow local authorities to restrict specific behaviours in designated areas to help ensure public spaces remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The current PSPO, which targets vehicle-related anti-social behaviour particularly 'car cruising' and 'street racing' is due to expire in January 2026.
The city council is proposing a three-year extension to continue addressing these issues effectively, plus an additional two activities that would be considered a breach of the Order.
