What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 HOTHAM ROAD NORTH (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Hotham Road North, at the junction with Bricknell Avenue, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works being carried out on the telecoms mast.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed. Access will be maintained for emergency services. The Order will come into effect 11th September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 6pm on 11th September 2025.

CLARENDON STREET (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Clarendon Street, outside numbers 152 to 158, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to repair a partially collapsed sewer. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 1st September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. TRIPPETT STREET AND CARROLL PLACE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along Trippett Street and Carroll Place, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to install a new gas main in Trippett Street, half of Trippett Street is to be used for the site welfare cabin set up, half will remain open to allow access into the casino for deliveries.
Parking spaces on Carroll Place will be suspended for the duration of the works. The alternative route for pedestrians and vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 1st September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

HAVELOCK STREET (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Havelock Street, from the junction with Witty Street to the southern dead-end. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during reconstruction works.
There is no alternative route for vehicles as the street is a dead-end. However, restricted access will be maintained for Businesses. The Order will come into effect 29th August 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in two phases; phase one between 7pm on 29th August 2025 and 6am on 1st September 2025 and phase two between 7pm on 5th September 2025 and 6am on 8th September 2025.

PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO 7
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from proceeding along PROW No 7, Setting Dyke, Bricknell Woods, area to the west of Appleton Primary School and within the school grounds.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during flood risk management works. The alternative route for pedestrians will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 1st September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Convent Lane, outside number 1, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to lay a new gas service. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 8th September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Ice House Road at its junction with Anlaby Road. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during telecom civil works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed. The Order will come into effect 8th September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 6pm from 8th September 2025 until 12th September 2025, and 22nd September 2025 until 24th September 2025. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Anlaby Road, at the bridge HJS/3, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during detailed bridge examination works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 13th September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed nightly between 10pm on 13th September 2025 until 6am on 14th September 2025, and 10pm on 14th September 2025 until 6am on 15th September 2025. ALFRED GELDER STREET (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Alfred Gelder Street, between Clarence Street and Lowgate. The one way system on Lowgate, between Saltshouse Lane and North Wall will become a two way system for the duration of the closure.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during undertaking trial holes and inspection works of the utility pipework. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 1st September 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. PRIORY WAY (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along the southern section of Priory Way, Kingston upon Hull. The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during carriageway repair works. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed. The Order will come into effect 26th August 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS FREEDOM FESTIVAL 2025, KINGSTON UPON HULL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 18th August 2025, the Kingston upon Hull City Council made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing obstructions in the length of streets in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafter mentioned on the occasion of a Freedom Festival 2025, commencing 10am on 30th August 2025 until 10pm on 31st August 2025. The Order:-
(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on that length of:- Princess Dock Street, from Whitefriargate to the A63, Posterngate, the full length, North Church side, the full length, South Church side, the full length, Parliament Street, the full length, between 10am on 30th August 2025 until 10pm on 31st August 2025
(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and
(c) requires all persons present in the said length of street during the said hours on the said day to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform. The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the Freedom Festival 2025. The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.
The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds. A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.
