Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Bridleway CB259 between Canterbury Road and Dover Road A2 from the 15 September 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months
The path is to be closed because of works planned on and near the Bridleway.
A crossing point will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians when possible for the duration of the closure. There is no continuous alternative route.

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF KENT
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRIDLEWAY EE504 AT WOODNESBOROUGH)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order was made on 16 July 2025 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a Bridleway numbered EE504, with a width of 3.0 metres, which commences at its junction with Fleming Road at NGR TR2963 5668 (Point A) and runs in a south, south southwest and southwest direction for 690 metres to its junction with Bridleway EE201 and Public Footpath EE203A at NGR TR 2930 5610 (Point B). The path continues on the southern side of EE201 and runs in a southwest direction for 380 metres to its junction with Sandwich Road at NGR TR 2900 5587 (Point C).Between the points A-B-C on the Order plan.
All distances are approximate, all directions are general.
A copy of the Order and Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the offices of Dover District Council, Honeywood Close, White Cliffs Business Park, Dover, Kent, CT16 3PJ or at the Kent County Council, History and Library Centre, James Whatman Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1LQ, from 10am-5pm. The documents can also be viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/prownotices or a copy can be obtained by contacting Laura Wilkins (tel: 03000 41 34 80 or email laura.wilkins@kent.gov.uk).
Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Laura Wilkins at the Kent County Council (address as below; email as above) no later than Friday 3 October 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made to the Order (or to any part of it), or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the Authority has by Notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment (in whole or in part), any representations or objections which have been duly made and not been withdrawn will be sent with it.

Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Footpath SD178 in the Parish of Swanley

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 28 February 2025, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath SD178 has been extended for a further 6 months, until the 28 February 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier The path is closed between London Road and Beechenlea Lane.
The alternative route is via Beechenlea Lane and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath ZR55 between Iwade Road and its junction with Public Footpath ZR57 from the 15 September 2025.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months
The path is to be closed because railway embankment works are planned on or near it
The alternative route is via Public Footpath ZR57 and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
