NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
MODIFICATION ORDER

PARISH OF MELVERLEY) PUBLIC PATH CREATION
ORDER 2025
The above-named order made on 14 th August 2025, by the Shropshire Council (“the Council”) under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A (2) of the
Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will create 109 metres of bridleway on land at Ponthen in the Parish of Melverley at grid reference SJ 3339 1753.
A copy of the Order, the Order map and an explanatory statement may be seen on the Council’s website at

access-and-public-rights-of-way/current-public-path-orders/ or obtained free of charge via
outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way Team, Shropshire Council, Riggs Hall, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury,
SY1 2AS or by email to outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk not later than 11 th September 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order
is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will
be sent with the Order.
