ASSETS OF COMMUNITY VALUE – NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF LISTED LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that on 22 July 2025 notification was received on behalf of the owner of The Lamb, 20 High Street, Stoke Goldington MK16 8NR (‘the Property’) pursuant to section 95(2) of the Localism Act 2011 (‘the Act’) that it intends to dispose of part of the Property, by way of sale, comprising two separate plots: PLOT 1 (Public House); PLOT 2 (Garden Land). Interested parties should contact Milton Keynes City Council for more information.
The Property has been listed as an Asset of Community Value since 8th April 2025.
Any community interest group as defined in the Act and the Asset of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012) may now make a written request to be treated as a bidder for Plot 1 and/or Plot 2 comprising the Property. Such requests must be made before the end of the Interim Moratorium Period, which expires on 2nd September 2025.
If any community interest group makes a written request to be treated as a bidder for any of the Plots comprising the Property, within the Interim Moratorium Period, then a Full Moratorium Period will apply to such Plot(s), expiring on 22nd January 2026.
During the Moratorium Periods the owner may not dispose of the Property other than to a community interest group (or where the disposal falls within an exemption identified in the Act or Regulations).
If no request for a community interest group to be considered as a potential bidder is received during the applicable Moratorium Period, then the owner will be free to sell the Property on the open market during a Protected Period expiring on 22nd January 2027.
