Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic AW358 in the Parish of Bethersden

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic AW358 between Pluckley Road and Tippetts Lane from the 01 September 2025

The way will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 08 September 2025

The way is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.

There is no alternative route.

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that on 31 July 202, the Kent County Council, on behalf of Sevenoaks District Council, certified that the terms of Article 2 of the abovenamed Order, requiring an alternative highway to be created to the reasonable satisfaction of the Kent County Council (on behalf of Sevenoaks District Council) had been complied with.

Accordingly, the above-named Order has now taken effect.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH ZR39 UPCHURCH AND LOWER HALSTOW)

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above named Order made on the 25th June 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered ZR39 commencing from a point on Breach Lane, Lower Halstow (Point B NGR TQ8527 6662) and running in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 38 metres to then turning to run in a generally north westerly direction for 30 metres, then west-north-westerly again for 96 metres, turning northwards for 164 metres and then for a further 70 metres in a north-westerly direction to connect with Public Footpath ZR 43 at NGR TQ 8513 6695 (Point A).  As shown on the Order Plan between the points B and A.  And will providea new length of public footpath numbered ZR39  commencing from the aforementioned Point A NGR TQ 8513 6695 and utilising a short section of existing Public Footpath ZR43 running in a easterly direction for 137 metres to Point C NGR TQ 8556 6692 and then turning south-westwards with a width of 2 metres for 45 metres Point DNGR TQ8525 6688, east-south-eastwards for 100 metres Point E NGR TQ8534 6684, south-eastwards for 74 metres, Point F NGR TQ8537 6677, then south-south-westwards for 47 metres to re-join Breach Lane at NGR TQ 8535 6673 (Point G).  As shown on the Order Plan between the points A, C, D, E, F and G on the Order Plan.

All directions general, all distances approximate.

A copy of the Order and Order Map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Offices of Swale Borough Council, east Street, Sittingbourne or at the Kent History and Library Centre, James Whatman Way, Maidstone, ME14 1LQ.  Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased there at the price of £5.  Alternatively, by contacting Mr Chris Wade either calling 03000 413 475 or emailing chris.wade@kent.gov.uk.  The documents can also be viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/prownotices.  Copies are available in other formats if required.

Any representation or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to Mr Chris Wade at the Kent County Council (address as below), (Tel: 03000 413 475) (Email: chris.wade@kent.gov.uk) not later than 8th September 2025.  Please state the grounds on which they are made.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain.  Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is refereed for determination.

If no such representations or objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.  If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) ZR98 in the Parish of Iwade

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close BOAT ZR98 to all traffic for the first forty metres from School Lane from the 11 August 2025

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen mid-September 2025

The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.

There is no alternative route for vehicles, equestrians or cyclists.

There is an alternative route for pedestrians via a temporary route that runs parallel with School Lane between BOAT ZR98 and BOAT ZR95 and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath MT2 in the Parish of Hildenborough

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath MT2 between its junction with Public Footpath MT9 and Public Footpath MT10 from 08 September 2025

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 24 December 2025

The path is to be closed because of work to replace the A21 footbridge

There is no alternative route.
