Wilberforce Road - Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL 

The City of Cambridge (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2022 (Amendment No.64) Order 202- 

Notice is hereby given that Cambridge shire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Traffic Management Act 2004. 

The effect of this Order will be to introduce on-street parking controls in the Wilberforce Road area of Cambridge. Parking within these roads will become either resident permit holders’ parking; will be subject to no waiting at any time or will remain unrestricted, such as across private driveways. In addition, it is proposed to provide some pay & display parking bays in Clarkson Road (1 hour time limit) and in Wilberforce Road (3 hour limit). The residents’ permit parking and pay & display parking will operate on all days between 9am and 3.30pm. Existing disabled parking bays in the area will remain. 

Residential addresses, as specified in the draft order, in the following roads will be eligible for the purchase of permits:- Adams Road, Bulstrode Gardens, Clarkson Road, Cockroft Place, Cranmer Road, Grange Road, Hedgerly Close, Herschel Road, Madingley Road, Perry Court, Sylvester Road, The Lawns and Wilberforce Road. On-street restrictions will not apply to any unadopted private roads or parking areas. 

Residents will be able to apply for up to 3 resident permits per eligible household. Resident permits for cars cost £96 per annum and visitor permits cost £18 for 5 days’ parking (£3.60 per day). Other permit types are available and blue badge holders can park in permit holder spaces free of charge.

Objections stating the grounds on which they are made, and other representations, must be sent in writing by 26th August 2025. Please use the portal link above or write to the undersigned.
