Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath NG2 (also NCN Route 1) At Gravesend

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath NG2 between its junction with Mark Lane and its junction with public footpath NG3 from the 04 August 2025.

The path will be closed for six months, although it is expected that it will require a closure extension.

The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.

The alternative route for walkers is via public footpaths NG12 & NG1 and Public Bridleway NS318 and will be signed for the duration of the closure. The alternative route for cyclists is via the A226, Lower Higham Road and Chalk Road.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath KB33 in the Parish of Tovil

In The Borough of Maidstone

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath KB33 between Cripple Street and the rear of Little Bockingford from the 16 August 2025

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen in September.

The path is to be closed due to gas mains replacement works.

There is no alternative route.

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath ZR119 between School Lane and Wises Lane from the 06 August 2025

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.

The alternative route runs parallel to the south of Public Footpath ZR119, running between School Lane and Wises Lane, and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpaths ZR122 & ZU43 in the Parish of Borden

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close part of Public Footpath ZR122 between its junction with Public Footpath ZR123 and Public Footpath ZU43, and the whole of Public Footpath ZU43 from ZR122 to Auckland Drive from the 06 August 2025

The paths will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The paths are to be closed because works are planned on or near them.

The alternative route is via Public Footpath ZR123 and the footway on Borden Lane and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

IN THE BOROUGH OF SWALE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL(PUBLIC FOOTPATH  ZU4 (parts), SITTINGBOURNE)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENTMODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above-named Order made on16 July 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert:

1.    the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered ZU4, which commences on an unaffected length of Public Footpath ZU4 at NGR TQ 9120 6596 (point A), and runs south south-west for 63 metres to its connection with Beauvoir Drive at NGR TQ 9117 6591 (point B), as shown between points A-B on the Order plan;

AND

2.    the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered ZU4, which commences at its connection with Beauvoir Drive at NGR TQ 9116 6590 (point C), and runs south-west for 77 metres to its connection with an unaffected length of Public Footpath ZU4 at NGR TQ 9112 6583 (point D), as shown between points C-D on the Order plan.

The above-named Order will add:

1.    a new length of Public Footpath numbered ZU4, with a width of 1.8 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs south for 4 metres, then west for 6 metres, then south south-west for 9 metres, then west for 17 metres, and then south south-west for 27 metres to its connection with Beauvoir Drive at NGR TQ 9117 6592 (point E), as shown between points A-E on the Order plan;

AND

2.    a new length of Public Footpath numbered ZU4, with a width of 1.8 metres, which commences on Beauvoir Drive at NGR TQ 9115 6589 (point F), and runs south south-west for 63 metres to the aforementioned point D, as shown between points F-D on the Order plan.

All directions general, all distances approximate.

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Maria McLauchlan at the Kent County Council (address as below; email as above) no later than 01September 2025.  Please state the grounds on which they are made.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain.  Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.  If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF KENT

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH TMX45, MARGATE)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

On the 8th July 2025 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order without modifications.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a public footpath numbered TMX45 which commences at its connection with High Street at NGR TR 35270 70969 (Point A) and runs in an east-by-south direction for 21 metres to NGR TR 35291 70966 (Point B), and then runs in a southerly direction for 3 metres before running in an eastern direction for 1 metre to NGR TR 35291 70962 (Point C) where the path terminates at the Market Street Car Park. The path will have a recorded width of 2.2 metres between Points A and B, and a width of 1.95 metres between Points B and C. The path terminates at a 1.0 metre wide gap at Point C.

All distances are approximate, all directions are general.

This Order became operative as from 8th July 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53(3)(c)(i) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, they may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 1st August 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
