What is happening?
Bargatton Energy Storage Project
Lightsource bp is holding a public information session regarding the proposed Bargatton energy storage project located to the east of the A762. (Grid Reference NX 68362 63406) Exhibitions will be held at: Ringford Village Hall, Main Street, Ringford, Castle Douglas DG7 2AL
The consultation events will be held on Tuesday 5th August from 3pm to 7pm Thursday 18th September from 3pm to 7pm
This is in accordance with Electricity Act 1989 - sections 36 and 37: applications guidance.
Information about the proposal will be on display and project representatives in attendance to answer any questions. In addition, information already submitted to the Energy Consents Unit can be found on the planning portal using the reference; ECU00006229.
Interested parties can also contact the Project Manager at info@lightsourcebp.com (quoting “Bargatton”). Preapplication comments and queries can be shared with the project team by way of feedback form on the day of the event or through the project website lightsourcebp.com/uk/project/bargatton or by phone on 07542 754642 (Luminate consultancy).
Statements made to the project team are not formal planning representations. If a planning application is submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit, then there will be an opportunity to make a direct representation to the ECU.
