What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
 
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6140 WOODCUTTERS WAY, LAKENHEATH 

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6140 Woodcutters Way, Lakenheath from the junction with Delph Road for 30 metres northbound to facilitate works on underground electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. 

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Woodcutters Way and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2025 -30/07/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1065 MILDENHALL AND BRANDON ROAD, MILDENHALL AND ERISWELL 

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the: 

• A1065 Mildenhall, Mildenhall 

• A1065 Brandon Road, Eriswell from the A1065 Mildenhall to the road from the A1065 to the All. 

This is to facilitate surface dressing and associated works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be the A1065, the A134, the All and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closures will operate from: 

• 02/08/2025 from 4am - 9am 

• 8pm on 22/08/2025 - 5am on 23/08/2025 

• 8pm on 26/08/2025 - 5am on 27/08/2025. 

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
