What is happening?
Southern Water – Hampshire and Isle of Wight Region
Independent Water Networks Ltd (IWNL) gives notice that, pursuant to sections 76 and 76A-C of the Water Industry Act 1991, the following uses of water supplied by IWNL are restricted.
1. Water a garden using a hosepipe
2. Cleaning a private motor-vehicle using a hosepipe
3. Watering plants on domestic or other non-commercial premises using a hosepipe
4. Cleaning a private leisure boat using a hosepipe
5. Filling or maintain a domestic swimming or paddling pool
6. Drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use
7. Filling or maintaining a domestic pond using a hosepipe
8. Filling or maintaining an ornamental fountain
9. Cleaning walls, or windows, or a domestic premises using a hosepipe
10. Cleaning paths or patios using a hosepipe
11. Cleaning other artificial outdoor surfaces using a hosepipe

Water restrictions will start at 00:01 on the 21 July 2025 and continue until further notification. The restrictions applies in the areas of supply of Bargate Quarter (SO14), Dairy Road (SP11), Deer Park (SO30), Eastpoint Centre (SO19), Greenway Lane (SO31), Hill Street (SO40), Hoe Lane (SO51), Horsebridge Hill (PO30), Knowle Hill (SO50), Land at Brook Lane (SO31), Land East of Brook Lane (SO31), Land off Providence Hill (SO31),
North Whiteley (SO30), Romsey (SO51), Sherecroft Farm (SO30), Southampton Road (PO14), Stoneham (Stage 2) (SO50), Stoneham Lane (SO50), Stoneham Lane (Phase 10) (SO50), Sun Lane (SO24), Toynbee Road (SO50), Two Gate Lane (RG25).
