Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath AE413 between its junctions with Public Footpaths AE415 and AE425 from the 14 July 2025.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen in November 2025.
The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via Public Footpaths AE425, AE423 & AE415.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
THE ASHFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH AU70 (parts), ASHFORD)
PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP ORDER 2025
On 25 June 2025 Ashford Borough Council confirmed the above Order under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of that Order, as confirmed, is to stop upthe entire width of that length of public footpath numbered AU70, which commences on the north-west side of Beaver Lane at NGR TQ 9942 4183 (point A) and runs south-east for 73 metres to the north-west side of Watercress Lane at NGR TQ 9948 4179 (point B), between the points A-B on the Order plan. The effect of the Order is also be to stop up the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered AU70, which commences on the south-east side of Watercress Lane at NGR TQ 9949 4179 (point C) and runs on a curved alignment east through south-east for 41 metres to its connection with the north-west side of Cross Stile at NGR TQ 9952 4178 (point D), between the points C-D on the Order plan.
All directions general, all distances approximate.

The Order came into force on 25 June 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Footpath AW87 in the Parish of Egerton

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 17 January 2025, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath AW87 has been extended for a further 6 months, until the 17 January 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The path is closed between St. James Yard and its junction with Public Footpath AW88
The alternative route is via Public Footpath AW106 and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath DS1 in the Parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath DS1 along the lower promenade between The Avenue and Lightermans Way from the 12 July 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen after two weeks.
The path is to be closed because works are planned beside it to construct a new sea wall, where the bank is being eroded by tides.
The alternative route is via the Kings Charles III England Coast Path along the upper promenade, parallel to the closed section.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath NG2 between its junction with Mark Lane and its junction with public footpath NG3 from the 04 August 2025.
The path will be closed for six months, although it is expected that it will require a closure extension
The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via public footpaths NG12 & NG1 and Public Bridleway NS318 and will be signed for the duration of the closure. The alternative route for cyclists is via the A226, Lower Higham Road and Chalk Road.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close BOAT ZR98 to all traffic for the first forty metres from School Lane from the 11 August 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen mid-September 2025
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it
There is no alternative route for vehicles, equestrians or cyclists.
There is an alternative route for pedestrians via a temporary route that runs parallel with School Lane between BOAT ZR98 and BOAT ZR95 and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14
TUNBRIDGE WELLS BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS WB11 (part) AND WT192A (part) TUNBRIDGE WELLS & CAPEL)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 26th June 2025, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council confirmed the above Order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath WB11 (a) commencing at NGR TQ 6062 4288 (Point A on order plan) and running in an east-north-easterly direction for 215 metres to NGR TQ 6083 4293 (Point B) and (b) commencing at NGR TQ 6085 4293 (Point C) and runs in an east-south-easterly to easterly direction for 85 metres to NGR TQ 6093 4292 (Point D). As shown on the order plan by the solid black line between Points A-B and C-D and (c) the entire width of that length of Public Footpath WT192A commencing at the aforementioned Point D and running in a northeasterly direction for 18 metres to NGR TQ 6095 4292 (point E). As shown on the order plan by the solid black line between Points D-E.
and will add a new length of public footpath numbered WB11 with a width of 2.0 metres which will
(a) commence at the aforementioned Point A and run in a northerly direction for approximately 15 metres to NGR TQ 6061 4290 (Point F) and then in an east-north-easterly direction to easterly direction for 219 metres to the aforementioned Point B, and (b) commence at the aforementioned Point C and running in an easterly direction for 51 metres to NGR TQ 6090 4293 (Point G). As shown on the order plan by the broken black line between Points A-F-B and C-G.
And (c) a new length of public footpath numbered WT192A with a width of 2.0 metres which will commence at the aforementioned Point G and runs in a north-easterly direction for 25 metres to NGR TQ 6092 4293 and then in a south-easterly direction for 28 metres to the aforementioned Point E. As shown on the order plan by the broken black line between Points G-E.

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 20 January 2025, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Restricted Byway WT340A has been extended for a further 6 months, until the 20 January 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The path is closed between Goudhurst Road and Bassetts Farm Cottages.
