WOODLANDS SCHOOL
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, as amended by the Education Act 2011, that Surrey County Council, is proposing to make a prescribed alteration to Woodlands School, Fortyfoot Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8RY.
Surrey County Council, in cooperation with the Governing Body of Woodlands School are proposing an expansion onto an additional site (a ‘satellite site’) to create up to an additional 28 places for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and associated needs including Autism. Each pupil would have an EHCP specifying the specialist provision within the school as an appropriate placement to meet their individual needs. It is proposed that an additional site would open from October 2025. The additional site would be located at Cranmere Primary School, Arran Way, Esher, Surrey, KT10 8BE.
Surrey County Council, in cooperation with the Governing Body of Woodlands School, has complied with all applicable statutory requirements in connection with this proposal. At the conclusion of the Notice period, if permission is granted by the Cabinet Member for Education and Learning, Surrey County Council will implement the proposal.
