Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath CWX2 in Whitstable

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CWX2 between Island Wall and Public Footpath CWX1 from the 4 July 2025.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen in August 2025.
The path is closed because works are planned on and near it.
The alternative route is via Island Wall, Marine Gap, Public Footpath
CWX1 and will be signed for the duration of the closure

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath CB480 in the Parish of Chartham

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CB480 between its junction with CB479 and the A28 Ashford Road from the 09 July 2025.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path is closed because of an out of repair footbridge at the Corn Mill.
The alternative route is via A28 Ashford Road, Riverside, Parish Road, Footpath CB479 and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH DB53 (PART), DARTFORD)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above Order was made on 25 June 2025 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered DB53, which commences at NGR TQ 54511 73915 (Point A) and travels in a southeasterly direction for 2.5 metres to NGR TQ 54512 73913 (Point B), then continues in an east northeasterly direction for 12 metres to NGR TQ 54523 73919 (Point C). As shown by the bold line between points A-B-C on the Order Plan and will add a new length of public footpath numbered DB53 with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A, and travels in a generally east northeasterly direction for 13 metres to the aforementioned Point C. As shown by the bold broken line between Points A-C on the Order Plan.
All directions are general, all distances are approximate.
A copy of the Order and the Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Dartford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Home Gardens, Dartford, DA1 1DR or at the Kent County Council, History and Library Centre, James Whatman Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1LQ, from 10am-5pm. The documents can also be viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/prownotices or a copy can be obtained by contacting Michael Tonkin (tel: 03000 41 03 25 or email Michael.tonkin@kent.gov.uk.
Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Michael Tonkin at the Kent County Council (address as below; email as above) no later than 01 August 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Kent County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 13 January 2025, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Bridleway NU27 has been extended for a further 8 months, until the 13 March 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier
The path is closed between The Drove Way and the rear of Instead Community Centre
The alternative route for pedestrians is via the community centre car park and into the field and will be signed for the duration of the closure. There is no alternative for equestrians or bike users.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath ZR119 between School Lane and Wises lane from the 06 August 2025
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route runs parallel to the south of Public Footpath ZR119, running between School Lane and Wises Lane and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close part of Public Footpath ZR122 between its junction with Public Footpath ZR123 and Public Footpath ZU43, and the whole of Public Footpath ZU43 from ZR122 to Auckland Drive from the 06 August 2025
The paths will be closed for a maximum of six months.
The paths are to be closed because works are planned on or near them.
The alternative route is via Public Footpath ZR123 and the footway on Borden Lane and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
