What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BORROWASH ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 28 July 2025 to 03 September 2025
WHERE: Borrowash Road, at its junction with the A52 – for a distance of approximately 220 metres
REASON: Highway Maintenance
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A52 – Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road – Nottingham Road – Borrowash Road and the same in the opposite direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON WILTSHIRE ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 21 July 2025
WHERE: Wiltshire Road, from its junction with Hereford Road to its junction with Berkshire Road
REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hereford Road – Sussex Circus Berkshire Road (and the same in the opposite direction)

WHERE: Station Road, for the extent of the Level Crossing
REASON: Level Crossing works

WHERE: Handford Street, from its junction with Richardson Street, to its junction with Stepping Lane
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Handford Street – Stanley Street – Cecil Street – Peel Street – Richardson Street and the same in the opposite direction
TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION ORDER ON SIR FRANK WHITTLE ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 26 July 2025 (21:00) to 27 July 2025 (06:00)
WHERE: Sir Frank Whittle Road, from a point approximately 280 metres south of its junction with Wheatcroft Way to a point approximately 430 metres north of its junctions with Mansfield Road and Hampshire Road
REASON: Drainage works
