What is happening?

In accordance with Regulation 7 of the Planning
(Statement of Community Involvement) Regulations
(Northern Ireland) 2015, Newry, Mourne and Down
District Council hereby gives notice of the publication
of a revision to its Statement of Community
Involvement in respect of the Local
Development Plan.

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
outlines how the Council will engage with its
citizens and stakeholders in exercising its planning
functions. It sets out the procedures for involving the
community in the production of the District’s Local
Development Plan 2020 – 2035, in the consideration
of planning applications, in planning enforcement and
in the Council’s other planning functions.
The SCI is available for inspection between the hours
of 9.00 am-5.00pm at the Council’s Planning Offices:
