Works to common land:
MIDHURST COMMON (CL169)


Bellway Homes Limited has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out works on the above common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The works have been carried out to the bell mouth at the entrance to the former council depot on Bepton Road (covering an area of 142 sqm) and include minor realignments of kerb radii, resurfacing, some minor re-levelling to suit drainage, the installation of catch pits for drainage and associated temporary fencing around works areas. There will also be final repairs to the resurfacing works, these are currently estimated to take place in July 2026.
A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Midhurst Library (The Grange, Bepton Rd, Midhurst GU29 9HD) between the hours of 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday until 14 July 2025.
