What is happening?

FALKIRK COUNCIL

INSPECTION OF UNAUDITED ACCOUNTS FOR FALKIRK COUNCIL, FALKIRK
TEMPERANCE TRUST AND PENSION FUND 2024/25

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Section 101 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and Section 9 of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014 as follows:-

1. INSPECTION OF ACCOUNTS
Copies of the unaudited accounts of Falkirk Council, Falkirk Temperance Trust and Pension Fund for the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 will be available for public inspection from Monday 30th June 2025 to Friday 18th July 2025 on the Council’s website

www.falkirk.gov.uk

A copy of the Pension Fund Accounts will also be available on the Fund website

www.falkirkpensionfund.org



2. RIGHT TO INSPECT ACCOUNTS
Any interested person may inspect the Accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto. Interested parties are requested to submit e-mail requests for access to these documents to the Chief Finance Officer,

no later than Monday 21st July 2025. We will endeavour to provide electronic copies of the requested documents before the approval of the audited accounts for signature, at a date to be determined.

No charge will be made for the inspection of documents or for the provision of electronic copies.

3. RIGHT TO OBJECT TO ACCOUNTS
Any interested person may object to the Accounts or to any part of the accounts no later than 21st July 2025 by:-
(a) sending the objection, in writing, together with a statement of the grounds thereof to:
Pauline Gillen, Audit Director for Falkirk Council and Falkirk Pension Fund Accounts, or
Gillian McCreadie, Senior Audit Manager for Falkirk Temperance Trust Accounts,

4. OBJECTION PROCEDURE
The Auditor shall, if requested by the person objecting, or authority or by any officer of the authority who may be concerned, afford to that person, or authority or officer, as the case may be, an opportunity of appearing before and being heard by the Auditor with respect to that objection, and any such person or officer may so appear and be heard either personally or by a representative.
