What is happening?

Tender Opportunity for Main Contractor for Refurbishment Works –
Jethart Creative Quarter

Jedburgh Community Trust are seeking expressions of interest from main contractors to take on the refurbishment of a former bakery at Exchange Street, Jedburgh. The project is funded by the UK Government Community Regeneration Partnership and administered by Scottish Borders Council.

The former bakery building spans three floors and is currently a wind and watertight shell. Briefly the works will entail fitting out the existing spaces into artist studios, a new stair and lift and landscaping within the courtyard.

The works are valued at approximately £1,000,000 with a programmed site possession in September 2025.

The tender will be awarded on the basis of Most Economically Advantageous Tender with quality being assessed on the basis of experience of similar refurbishment projects and financial standing.

Invitations to tender will be issued to all expressing interest on 6th June 2025 with tenders due to be returned by 12 noon on Friday 4th July 2025.
