(Public Footpath POL/12/20, Warmley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to
foot passengers that length of Public Footpath POL/12/20 from the entrance
of POL/12/10 southwards for 20m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon construction works.

The order became operative from 2 June 2025 for a maximum period of six months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration. Alternative route: follow signed diversion.


(Tockington Lane, Almondsbury)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Tockington Lane which extends from a point 915m south west of Fernhill south westwards for 165m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with overhead electricity works. 

The order became operative from 3 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between 9am to 4:30pm. 

Alternative route: Fernhill, Gloucester Road, Sundays Hill, Over Lane, Church Road and vice versa.


(Crossman Avenue, Winterbourne) (No.2)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close,
temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that
length of Crossman Avenue which extends from a point 40m east of Bradley
Avenue eastwards for 45m. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new gas connection works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order will be operative from 23 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days duration.

Alternative route: Crossman Avenue, Bradley Avenue, Huckford Road, Crossman Avenue and vice versa.


(Swan Lane, Winterbourne) (No.2)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Swan Lane which extends from a point 220m north west of Bristol Road north westwards for 760m. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon duct installation works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order will be operative from 23 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. 

Alternative route: Swan Lane (parts unaffected), Old Gloucester Road, Perrinpit Road, Bristol Road and vice versa.


(Churchend Lane, Charfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Churchend Lane which extends from a point 100m north of Devil’s Lane northwards for 160m. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway.

The order will be operative from 25 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between 9am and 4pm.

Alternative route: B4058, B4509, Churchend Lane towards Devil’s Lane. 


(Burton Road, Acton Turville) (No.2)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Burton Road which extends from Tormarton Road north westwards for 50m and a south eastwards for 50m.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The order will be operative from 25 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 nights duration, between 8pm and 6am.

Alternative route: B4039 (part unaffected), A420, A46, B4040, B4039 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

Proposed developments at Phase 5 Infrastructure, Land East Of Harry Stoke, South Gloucestershire, I give notice that Crest Nicholson (South West) Ltd has applied to South Gloucestershire Council for Creation of strategic infrastructure including access, highways, drainage and landscaping for Phase 5 (Approval of Reserved Matters to be read in conjunction with Outline permission PT16/4782/O). (application reference no. P25/01074/RM).
