What is happening?
The Watkinson’s Homes, Lightcliffe, Halifax
NOTICE is given that a vacancy exists for an almsperson of this Charity.
Single persons or married couples of good character who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress are eligible for appointment. Preference will be given pursuant to the trusts to certain classes of person.
Application for appointment must be made in writing to the Clerk to the Trustees of Watkinson’s Homes, at Ramsdens Solicitors, 18 Lewisham Road, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, HD7 5AL on or before the 12th June. An applicant must be prepared, unless physically disabled, to attend in person for interview. He or she may be required to supply evidence of his or her qualification for appointment.
NOTE – Almspeople will be required to contribute a weekly sum towards the cost of maintaining the Almshouses of the Charity and the services therein.
